Desert Defenders Pest Control was founded by Brandon Stuart—a Tucson local, father of two, and a pest control professional with over 10 years of hands-on experience in the field.

Brandon spent a decade working for other pest control companies across Southern Arizona. He knew the work inside and out—how to treat a foundation properly, where scorpions hide in block walls, why ants keep coming back, and what actually works versus what’s just a sales pitch. But like a lot of technicians in the industry, the pay didn’t match the skill or the effort.

When his second child was born, Brandon made a change. He went back to school, earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting, and took a position in auditing. On paper it looked like the right move. In reality, it meant long hours, time away from his kids, and not much more money than before.

So he bet on himself.

Brandon started Desert Defenders Pest Control to do two things: spend more time with his family and give his neighbors something they actually deserve—quality pest control at a fair price, from someone who treats their home like his own.

Brandon noticed something happening across Tucson: pest control companies kept raising their prices. Families were getting locked into expensive contracts, paying $60, $80, or more per service for the exact same treatment he could provide for $35. That didn’t sit right with him.

The economy is tough. People are stretched thin. And the last thing anyone needs is to choose between pest control and groceries. Desert Defenders exists so that choice never has to be made.
